Project Diaper Bag is turning its efforts to the displaced mothers and babies from Hurricane Katrina. Your help is desperately needed. These kits will be sent to:
First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge (a Southern Baptist Church) at 529 Convention Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 (225) 343-0397 is focused as an Infant Care Shelter to receive newborn infants and their mothers from area hospitals. They arrive with their new baby and a few meager supplies from the hospital for approximately a 24 hour period.
We will be giving them these diaper bags and health kits for the moms. Mead Johnson maker of
Enfamil products is supplying formula.
Monetary donations are being accepted to purchase items not donated and to cover the cost of shipping.
We will provide a receipt for your taxes upon request sent with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
We encourage you to write letters of support and encouragement to go with the diaper bags and health kits.
